The Ultimate Guide to Planning a Miami Bachelorette Weekend Your Bride Tribe Will Never Forget!
As a professional planner of sorts (and control freak) I have a hard time letting go, especially when it comes to planning significant events. I’m originally from Miami, Florida, so I always knew I wanted to have my official bachelorette in my hometown. My two co-maids of honor (CO-MOH’s) are also from Miami and knew exactly how to take the reigns and plan the perfect bachelorette of my miami dreams (with my input as well). Shout to Veronica and Dani for being the most amazing co-mohs and putting so much effort into curating the perfect weekend. A perfect blend of control and surprise!
Planning such an event can also be overwhelming, especially if you don't know where to start. Thankfully, I had an incredible group of girls who all pitched in to make it amazing.
I opted for my hometown of Miami, Florida, where I knew travel from Tampa Bay wouldn’t be difficult and I could call on connections from the past for some help in getting us into the trendiest spots without the waitlist/fees/and on a budget. Read on for my tips and an itinerary of where we went and what we did throughout the weekend!

1. Set a budget! The first step in planning a bachelorette weekend is to set a budget. Discuss with the other attendees how much they are willing to spend, and then plan the weekend accordingly. This will help you avoid any financial stress later on. I wanted to make sure to do everything possible to keep the budget low on my girls, so I did everything possible to get creative and save…..
Make sure your budget encompasses ALL activities, food, decor, and bachelorette swag. Also make sure to budget on things like unexpected cover fees and beauty costs! Gifting make up service to the bride is a total bonus. I was able to get make up done at home while we all got ready together for night one by the amazing Look By BJ make up team.
Prop tip: you can use splitwise and venmo as your ultimate tools.
2. Choose a location. When it comes to choosing a location, think about what the bride-to-be likes. Does she prefer a weekend in the city or a more relaxed weekend in nature? Choose a location that suits her preferences and budget. You could also consider a destination that is easy to travel to for everyone attending.
3. Plan activities! Plan activities that the bride-to-be will enjoy. You could book spa treatments, take a cooking class, or go on a wine tasting tour. You could also plan a scavenger hunt, karaoke night, or a beach day. Make sure to include some downtime in the schedule so that everyone can relax and enjoy each other's company.
I personally wanted to have a very non-relaxing, party weekend in Miami, with enough downtime in between events as we all needed to recover. I’m not about back to back activities, as I love my down time, so I wanted my itinerary to reflect that.
I wanted a pool party day more than anything. With several pool party options around Miami, my promoter connections landed us at DAER South Florida at the Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood, Florida (not Miami, technically, but we opted for a party bus which ended up being about the same cost as an uber and more fun, so it was like a mini road trip).
Ladies, Miami is a very easy place to find promoters who get paid to bring gals like you into their spot. So technically they need you more than you need them, so find them on IG.
4. Accommodation Choose accommodation that is comfortable and suits everyone's budget. You could consider renting a house or apartment, which can be more affordable than a hotel. Make sure the accommodation is in a safe area and close to the activities you have planned.
5. Plan transportation! Make sure you plan transportation in advance. If you are flying to the destination, book flights early to get the best deals. If you are driving, consider renting a car or arranging for a shuttle service. It's also a good idea to have a designated driver or hire a driver for the weekend.
We hired a limo driver the first night and it was an experience in itself, which had us feeling so glam and partying to our destination. We paid the limo for the night so we had it on standby for any location changes or any gal that wanted to dip early (which we had a pregnant bridesmaid so she felt super at ease knowing she could leave when she needed and the limo would return to pick us up later).
6. Transparent communication! Communication is key when it comes to planning a bachelorette weekend. Keep everyone informed about the plans and make sure everyone has the necessary information. Create a group chat or email chain to keep everyone up to date in real time! Thankfully we had an incredible energy and chemistry within the group so honest and transparent communication was easy with our crew.
Planning a bachelorette weekend can tons of work, but it is also one of the greatest weekends of my life! With these tips, you can plan a memorable weekend that you as the bride-to-be and your girls will never forget. Remember to set a budget, choose a location, plan activities, choose accommodation, arrange transportation, and communicate transparently and effectively. Do your research and sleuthing on social media as you never know what connections you may be able to find. Happy planning, congratulations, and cheers!!!!
